Crochet Llama Patmos Amigurumi Free Pattern

Hello Friends.
As you know, the llama is a very cute animal that is frequently found in South America. We will try to knit the llama animal in today’s amigurumi pattern. I can say that he is a very cute character, although he does not exactly look like a llama. The crochet llama pattern is completely free. This pattern is a new crochet llama pattern that is entirely our own.

White color was used as the main color while knitting the llama pattern. You can also find all the features of the dress and shawl in the details of the pattern. I know it’s a cute and hugely popular llama pattern. Our pattern has attracted a lot of attention so I thank you all. In terms of color, you can choose the colors you want. However, I recommend you to be careful about color matching. If your child will play with this llama toy amigurumi doll, you can use a different color than white as the main color. Without further ado, I want to talk about the details of the pattern.

Abbreviations

BL : Bobble Stitch – do 5dc all in the same stitch and then yarn over and pull through all the loops on your hook (the original loop + 1 loop for each partially completed dc).

Reverse Single Crochet: Crochet the stitch from left to right. This technique is most often used to make edges look smooth and neat. Make a chain to turn back from font side. Crochet a single crochet one before from last stitch. Then continue in the same way through the right side of crochet while slightly flexing yarn. Crochet single crochet until end of the row.

Materials

Preferably pick 5 colors of Yarnart Jeans yarn for poncho
For embroidery: Black thread or yarn

Scissors

Legs (Use white color and make 2)

Start with legs. After crocheting front foot part of leg, at 8^th round heel part will be crocheted. Lastly, after 11^th round is completed rest of the rounds will be crocheted and legs will be completed.
Don’t forget following instruction images and notes!
Join two legs and crochet the body as a single piece.
Rnd 1: Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times (12)
Rnd 3-7: sc in each st around (12)

Make heel part

Rnd 8: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 7st (skip 1 st and go in 3^rd st) (7)
Rnd 9: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 5st (skip 1 st and go in 3^rd st) (5)
Rnd 10: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 3st (skip 1 st and go in 3^rd st) (3)

Join foot part and crochet leg

Rnd 11: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 3st, (sideways) sc in next 2st, (in front) sc in next 5st, (sideways) sc in next 2st (12)
Rnd 12-22: sc in each st around (12)

Use a different color long yarn piece to mark beginning of round while crocheting legs.
After 11^th round foot part will take its shape. Then crochet st at its sideways and front section. After that, legs will be completed by crocheting sc in next 12 st between 12-22 rounds.
When first leg is finished, fasten off and crochet second leg. After second leg finished do not fasten off yarn and join two legs with chain. Then continue crochet the body part.

Body (Use white and milky brown)

Continue crochet the body with white yarn.

After crochet legs, start crocheting body part. Before joining legs make sure legs look toward inside.
While joining legs with chain, fold leg at the middle. When crochet up to waist part of body start filling polyester fiberfill.

While crocheting the head, at 2^nd and 3^rd round BLO will be used. Later, tress will be crochet in BLO.

Place the safety eyes between 16 and 17 with 9 stitches gap between them.
head part, when reached the 17^th round, start crocheting cheeks. There will be two protrusion at both side of head. Use a different color long yarn piece to mark beginning of round. Therefore you will increase and decrease stitches at right location.
After 23^rd round, insert the safety eyes at this point. To find the center point fold the head at the center from cheek sides so safety eyes can be symmetrically inserted. After finish the head, fill the head with polyester fiberfill and continue with creating head form.

Tress (Use white color yarn)

Start crocheting tresses after the head is completed. Join the yarn with a sl-st into the first stitch of BLO ( at the top of head where the magic ring is started) at head. Crochet all tresses as inc single crochet  (Make 2sc in each ch).
After first tress is completed, make 1 sl-st and repeat the process. AS TOTAL THERE ARE 17 TRESSES! Join the yarn with sl-st at the top point of head.

Ch 16, (skip 1^st  st and start crocheting 2^nd st.) inc and repeat 15 times, 1 sl-st, Ch 16, ….(repeat up to last st)

Mouth (Use white color yarn)

After crochet the head place the mouth properly between eyes and sew it. As seen at instruction images, embroidery the mouth with black color thread/yarn. Fill inside the mouth with polyester fiberfill !

Shape the Head

When completed the crocheting the head and placed the eyes, fill the head with polyester fiberfill. Instruction images will be helpful for filling process of polyester fiberfill. Make sure that enough polyester fiberfill is placed inside the head without changing the head form/shape.
After completing all steps which are mentioned above, sew the mouth. While sewing the mouth, leave a small gap and fill the inside of mouth with polyester fiberfill. Then sew the gap part of mouth. Before sewing the mouth, by using pins place on head and check it location.
With using pink thread/yarn, cheek can be embroidery as a line (it is your preference)
After the head is completed, sew the body with head by using the long tail of body. While joining of two parts, there will be gap between head and body. Without changing form, fill with polyester fiberfill and close with sewing.
If it is preferred, tresses can be loosely sewed at the end point on the head.

Arm (Use white and milky brown color yarn and make 2)

Start with white yarn

Rnd 1: Start 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: (inc) repeat 6 times (12)
Rnd 3-7: sc in each st around (12)
Rnd 8: dec, sc in next 4st, dec, sc in next 4st (10)
Rnd 9: sc in each st around (10)

Switch milky brown color yarn

Rnd 10-21: sc in each st around (10)
Rnd 22: (dec) repeat 5 times (5)

At 21^st round start filling arm with polyester fiberfill. Then finish 22^nd round and join stitches to close arms. Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew arms to the body.
Place arms at shoulder section of body as narrow section of arms are looking towards the outside (Shoulder section of body is 3 rounds below from head).

Skirt (Use milky brown color yarn)

Fasten the yarn on BLO stitches at 31rt round of body and start crocheting skirt.
For skirt part please follow instructions images and rounds information after 3th round.
Make 2 ch to go top round.
Only after first ch2 skip 1^st st and make dc at 2^nd st. At other rounds, crochet on the chain between (inc,dc).
Make 2dc in a st, ch, 2dc, skip 3 st and repeat everything while starting at 4^th st.

Skirt (Use milky brown color yarn)

Poncho

Use 5 different color yarns base on your preferences. Poncho will be crocheted as rectangular and it will be sew by folding from front sides as seen instruction images. After single crochet all edges, start edge lace.
Make sure sew the half of it otherwise it will not pass through head.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st (60)
Rnd 5: Ch 1, turn, sc in next 2st, (1 BL, sc in next 2st) repeat 19 times, sc in next st
Rnd 6: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st (60)

Rnd 7: Ch 1, turn, sc in each st (60)

Fold the poncho as seen instruction images and sew by aligning bottom section. Use first color of poncho and single crochet around of poncho. If you make (sc inc, repeat 3 times) at front corner, there will be no tension. And lastly crochet edge lace and finish poncho.

Poncho

For edge lace; ch 2 (at the beginning make ch and do not repeat later), yarn over the hook one time and make dc in 2^nd st. In same st make 5 dc. Then skip 1 st and sc in 2^nd st.
Make 5 dc in same st, skip 1 st, sc in 2^nd st. ….

Repeat as same order.
