Hi everyone,
I shared the amigurumi pattern of the most adorable bird, the seagull, for you. It is very easy to make the Amigurumi seagull pattern step by step. You can make the amigurumi pattern without seagulls in the colors you want. You can change the mask and layer color as you like. You can crochet amigurumi bird pattern for your children or loved ones. You can use the Amigurumi Seagull Calypso pattern for home decoration. If you want to prepare for the new year, I recommend that you make a red cape and a red Christmas hat.
The amigurumi Seagull Calypso pattern is a bit detailed. You must do it without haste. You will be very happy when you complete it. We start from the head of the Amigurumi seagull. When the head part is completed, we continue with the body part. In these two parts white thread is used. The wings of the amigurumi bird pattern are crocheted with blue and gray yarn. The wings are sewn to the fuselage when completed. The Amigurumi seagull mask is crochet with turquoise yarn. The cape is crocheted separately. Don’t forget to add the Calypso Seagull Amigurumi pattern to your favorites list.

Let’s start crocheting the Amigurumi seagull pattern. 🙂
Head
Starting with natural yarn.
Rd 1: 6 sc into MR. (6)
Rd 2: inc x 6 (12)
Rd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Rd 4: 18 sc (18)
Rd 5: (2 sc, inc) x 6 (24)
Colour change to mint for the next 2 rounds but don’t cut the natural yarn!
Rd 6: BLO – 24 sc (24)
Rd 7: 24 sc (24)
Change colour back to natural and cut mint yarn.
Rd 8: BLO – 24 sc (24)
Rd 9 – 14: 24 sc (24)
We’re going to complete the mask trim first, so we can insert the safety eyes and then continue with the body.
Bottom Mask Trim
In mint yarn, hold the head upside down. Insert your hook in the first front loop of round 7 and continue the following round:
FLO – 6 slst, (1 sc, 3 hdc in the next stitch, 1 sc, 6 slst) x 2 (28)
Cut yarn, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Using the yarn tail, sew a few stitches to secure the curved eye mask detail to the head (see image 1).
Top Mask Trim
In mint yarn, hold the head upside down and insert your hook into the first post-stitch between round 5 & 6 (see image 2):
24 slst in the post-stitches between round 5 & 6 (24)
Cut yarn, fasten off and weave in ends.
Insert safety eyes between round 6 & 7, above the stitch you made the 3 hdc in for the bottom mask trim (see image 1).
We have completed the head part of the amigurumi toy. Now we crochet the body part. 🙂
Body
Let’s continue with the body.
Rd 15: FLO – (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
Rd 16: 30 sc (30)
Stuff the head firmly and continue stuffing the body as you go.
Find the middle of the body at the back and mark with a stitch marker, this will be our new starting point for the following round – (I crocheted an additional 2 stitches to centralize):
Rd 17: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 2, 14 sc, (inc, 2 sc) x 2, inc, 1 sc (36)
Chain 7, starting in the 2nd loop from the hook, continue the following rounds as we begin to make the tail. The first stitch of the next round will be our new starting point, mark with stitch marker:
Rd 18: 6 sc along the chain, 14 sc, dec, 4 sc, dec, 14 sc, 6 sc along other side of the chain (46)
Rd 19 – 20: 46 sc (46)
Rd 21: 1 sc, dec, 3 sc, (dec, 9 sc) x 3, dec, 3 sc, dec (40)
Rd 22: 3 sc, dec, (6 sc, dec) x 4, 3 sc (35)
Rd 23: (dec, 5 sc) x 5 (30)
Rd 24: 30 sc (30)
Rd 25: (3 sc, dec) x 6 (24)
Rd 26: 24 sc (24)
Rd 27: 1 sc, dec, (2 sc, dec) x 5, 1 sc (18)
Rd 28: (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
Rd 29: dec x 6 (6)
Cut yarn, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff the body firmly and weave the yarn under the front loops and pull tight to close. Use the yarn tail to sew any holes closed created by the chain stitches at the tail.
We have completed the body part of the Seagulls Amigurumi pattern. Now we crochet the beak and the legs. You can choose yellow yarn. You can make the beak and legs with thread of the same color.:)

In mustard yarn.
Rd 1: 6 sc into MR. (6)
Rd 2: BLO – 6 sc (6)
Rd 3 – 8: 6 sc (6)
Cut yarn, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff the leg firmly.
With the leg opening facing downwards, attach natural yarn in the first front loop of round 1 and continue to the following rounds to create the upper legs.
Rd 1: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)

Flatten with the increase stitches in the middle to create a slight curve and crochet a few additional stitches until you reach the side of the foot (see image 4 – I crocheted an additional 3 sc). Working through both loops to close:
Chain 1, 3 hdc in first stitch, 2 slst, 3 hdc in next stich, 2 slst, 3 hdc in next stitch, slst in last stitch.
Cut yarn, fasten off and weave in end.
We are going to crochet the wings of the amigurumi seagull pattern. Blue thread is preferred. You can change the thread color if you want. 🙂

We crochet the tail part of the amigurumi toy.:)
Tail
In dark grey yarn. Chain 7, slst into the 1st chain to create a loop, chain 8 and slst back into the 1st chain again.
Cut yarn, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Let’s crochet the amigurumi seagull mask. 🙂
Mask Tie
In mint yarn. Chain 9, slst into 1st stitch to chain to create a loop, chain 9 and slst back into 1st chain again (see image 5).
Cut yarn, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Cape

• Leave the upper part of the leg unstuffed and sew to the bottom of the body on either side over rounds 26 – 28, if you’re making Calypso standing up. Cr sew to the front of the body over rounds 22 – 24 (about 1-2 stitches apart), if you’re making Calypso in a sitting position.
